Today I am sharing my second strategy.

    About four or five years now. I started it on Mailchimp, I switched to activecampaign a few years later and now I am a happy convertkit user.

    Of a love hate relationship with sending email.

    Was weekly, monthly, biweekly in the past and I've settled on weekly now.

    But of course there are weeks where I don't feel like writing or I.

    Products and it really helps my readers further in their fiddling journeys as well. So essentially a weekly email newsletter works really, really well for me. And in order to get more people on my newsletter list, I have a.

    So I'll walk you through those action steps.

    You can set up a landing page directly in your email service provider.

    So again, that's like Convertkit, Activecampaign, Mailchimp.

    Mailerlite, but there's actually a lot of value in putting your landing page directly on your MemberVault site. So to do this, you would go to content in your admin dashboard and then you click over to pages and from there we do have a landing page template or you can create and customize your own.     So I recommend playing around with where you link this page on MemberVault. So I have this as my secondary button in my welcome area, but you.

    And of course you can share it.

    All of your other websites if you have them, et cetera, et cetera.

    So the landing page that I created contains a couple of lines at the top explaining what's in the newsletter.

    So essentially it's a weekly irish fiddle tip. I send it out on Sundays, so I let them know the regularity and the content of the emails.

    I have an embedded sign up form.

    Hannah Harris [00:03:52]:
    For ConvertKit, so I created this on Convertkit I just include the name and email very, very basic template and I.

    Have that embedded in my page. Below that I have a sample email.

    That performed really, really well.

    Hannah Harris [00:04:05]:
    That was kind of the catalyst for me thinking, oh, maybe I should do.

    Hannah Harris [00:04:07]:
    A weekly Sunday like deep dive fiddle Tip newsletter again. So I have a copy of that email. It got some great engagement, lots of responses and so the more people that read it, the better.

    Hannah Harris [00:04:18]:
    In this case, it does include pictures.

    Hannah Harris [00:04:20]:
    Of my cats, but I promise that it was relevant. So you don't have to put a cat picture on your landing page, but I have one on mine. So if that didn't convince you to go look at it, then I don't know what will. Then I have a button leading to my convertkit form once again.

    And this is actually just to a page on Convertkit.

    Hannah Harris [00:04:39]:
    So there's different options where you can have the form embedded or you can just link it directly to the form. This button just links directly to the form.

    And then I have a testimonial from.

    A loyal reader and a quick little about me section, plus a photo.

    And then finally I have another spot.

    With the convertkit embed form listed on the page.

    So there's three different spots on the page.

    It's a pretty short sales page landing page overall, but there's three different spots where people can sign up for the list.

    And I will share a little bit of an advanced strategy here for you as well, if you're interested. So when someone signs up for my.

    Weekly newsletter on MemberVault now, they get added to my Convertkit list.

    Hannah Harris [00:05:20]:
    And as an added bonus, I have a webhook set up to give them.

    Hannah Harris [00:05:24]:
    Access to the free fiddle tip vault, which is I talked a lot more about in part one of these two episodes. So the webhook basically they get added to my list. The specific automation in Convertkit is they're subscribed to the Sunday newsletter form, and when that happens, there's a rule that adds them to the product in MemberVault. So ConvertKit takes all that and sends their information over to MemberVault and then they can go through the welcome.

    Email automation sequence there.

    So they have complimentary access to the free fiddle tip vault, which I realize is ironic because it would be free anyway, but they automatically get their account created for them when they come through the newsletter.

    I also have on MemberVault an invisible page.

    Hannah Harris [00:06:09]:
    This is again kind of an optional advanced step.

    Hannah Harris [00:06:12]:
    So anytime someone completes my Sunday newsletter form, they are redirected to a thank you page. And this thank you page is on MemberVault.

    Hannah Harris [00:06:20]:
    So again, it's an invisible page, so not really anybody's going to land on it except people that have the link in the redirect from Convertkit. And it's basically a place where my thank you page shows kind of a curated list of paid and free content. So it's a mix so people can.

    Sign up for my list and then.

    Hannah Harris [00:06:40]:
    They don't have to stop there and wait until Sunday to receive their email.

    Hannah Harris [00:06:43]:
    They can go ahead and keep exploring.

    Hannah Harris [00:06:45]:
    What all the things are that I offer.

    Now, I mentioned playing around with where you link this sign up page for your newsletter, and one extra smart thing you can do is get an outside analytics platform. So our team really loves fathom analytics.

    Hannah Harris [00:07:00]:
    I use fathom for my own business, really enjoy them. And what I do is I use Fathom's UTM link.

    Hannah Harris [00:07:08]:
    So basically you create a special link.

    Hannah Harris [00:07:10]:
    That will show you exactly where people.

    Hannah Harris [00:07:13]:
    Are clicking onto your landing page.

    Hannah Harris [00:07:15]:
    So if you have this link, you can set up one link for where you're sharing it in your secondary button, one link where you're sharing it in your Facebook page profile, one where you're.

    Hannah Harris [00:07:26]:
    Sharing it on a YouTube channel. You can really get personal with these links and you can track how many leads and how many conversions to your.

    Hannah Harris [00:07:33]:
    List you are getting from people who click on that link. So it's extremely valuable to see where your leads are coming from.

    Hannah Harris [00:07:42]:
    It helps you determine which platform or which part of your MemberVault site.

    Hannah Harris [00:07:46]:
    That you want to include the link. So always having that number data is really, really valuable. Helps you see what is working and what isn't.

    Now of course, if email newsletters aren't.

    Really your thing and you don't use.

    Hannah Harris [00:07:58]:
    Them that often, then this might not.

    Be the strategy that you need to worry about right now.
